THE HISTORY OF BARGAIN HUNTERS

My name is Beth, and I'm an experienced online shopper who loves to find bargains! It started as an occasional hobby and has grown into a daily experience as I find different ways to get free samples, merchandise for the cost of shipping, and great deals on all types of goods which my family, friends, and I use. My mom started shopping online and loved the convenience and the savings of time and energy as well as money. She was always asking me for my help finding the best online deals, and I decided to put together this newsletter to help her and others in their online bargain hunting.

This hobby began last year during the holidays when I was short on money, long on ideas, and willing to hunt. I looked around and searched and eventually became very good at finding a bargain for what I wanted to buy. For instance, in November 1999, I got the movie Austin Powers 2 on DVD for $5 shipped when it was selling for $25 in the retain stores. Some of the other bargains I have found are gift certificates for various websites and stackable coupons, which result in items purchased for merely the cost of shipping. Some of my best deals include a free Brita water filter pitcher, tupperware sets, free samples of all sorts, and a free VCR (Yes, a free VCR). I would say that I get some freebie, sample, or package of some sort in the mail at least every other day. Sounds interesting?

Combining my experience and my education in Business Administration and Management/Marketing, I'm creating this newsletter for you, my fellow online shoppers. It will be a work in progress, and it will be fine tuned to meet your needs. I want to personalize it as much as possible, so don't ever hesitate to e-mail me with suggestions or requests. In fact, I'd be glad to help you search for a specific product for the very lowest price…just let me know! I will try my best to find you a bargain. And the best part is, it's free to you!

Your support will be what keeps this newsletter coming. When you purchase an item after clicking through a link listed in my newsletter, I will get an affiliate commission from the e-tailer (online retailer). This will not cost you anything extra, but that's how I can afford to keep the bargains coming to your mailbox. This newsletter will be run on the honor system. If you decide to use one of the bargains listed, please use my affiliate link if I have one posted. With some bargain coupons, you will be asked to click through a link to get the coupon, and then to close that window and click on my affiliate link. And the other type of coupon is just a code that I will have listed. There will be a field you can enter in the code during the checkout process.

*NOTE* I am very careful of what websites I promote in my newsletter. You can be assured that every one is a trusted site; don't be nervous about shopping there. You can easily see for yourself that a site is secure (private) and tamper-proof. Look for a padlock or key symbol in the lower right or left corner of your screen (see your browser manual for more details). The symbol will not appear on most pages of the website, but will only appear when security is required, as on the checkout screen where you will enter your credit card information.
